Staci Baines Beauty Logo Design

Staci needed a logo for her new mobile beauty business. She wanted a logo that would work on social media and on business cards.

Staci wanted a ‘girly but professional’ looking logo with a watercolour background. A dusky pink, gold and mint green colour scheme works well with brush lettering.

Cat Pet Portrait

My first pet portrait in oils, this was a lot of fun. Creating depth in the white fur was a challenge! It took over twenty hours to complete over several weeks. Oil paint has a very slow drying time which sometimes requires taking breaks between each layer.

South African ‘Big Five’ Illustrations

Experimenting with watercolour and pen illustration, the South African ‘Big 5’ provided a great subject matter and source of inspiration. Applying masking fluid to sections of the painting protected those areas from the pain, allowing the addition pen detailing later.

Family Portrait Commission

Now this commission has be given as a gift, I can share it with you all. This is a family portrait commission where I was working from different photos, combining them to create one cohesive portrait. Both the customer and the person it was gifted to were very pleased with the result.

Completed on A4 paper with 2H, 4B and 8B mechanical and graphite pencils.
